[You wake up on a cold metal bed in a room that is unfamiliar to you.

How long have you been out for? Why does your head hurt? Why can't you remember how you got here?

Before you find the answer to these questions, you might want to check out that hand-written note. There's one in every room.

Dear [NAME],

Thank you for volunteering to participate in the experiment. With your help, this project should be quite successful. My name is Huey Laforet, and I am the one responsible for this experiment. I will be here observing and the point of my project will be revealed by the end.

Your goal today is to find the exit. To do so, you'll need three card keys. However, to activate them, you will need the item listed on the card to move forward. You might not be able to find everything by searching, but certainly, there are other ways to get what you need. I've left them scattered about,

If you fail to escape by the time the experiment is over, you will have to participate in further experiments with me. If you succeed, then you will be able to successfully leave the maze.

I wish you luck. Try to stay alive.

[ Not really thinking about it, she reaches out into what looks like thin air, because it is. But her hand actually disappears for a moment or two like it went invisible, before reappearing as she pulls it back. In its hand, there's a small, pink box. ]

... I believe that these are madeleines...?

... Nah, I can't eat anything like that.

Do you dislike cakes, Miss Auriga?

[ that is a shame. but she doesn't really seem to be judging her for it, she just sticks her hand back in to put the box away.

And this time she pulls out a fish! A herring, split, gutted, brined to the point the flesh turned red. A red herring, in other words. ]

This requires cooking still.

It's not that I dislike it but I'm saying I can't eat it. Maybe a bite or to.

... Why are you carrying around fish?

Why would I not carry fish? Herring is inexpensive but tastes delicious, and may be cooked in any variety of ways.

... I dunno, I guess I figured people carried around things like. Like granola bars or some shit.

... I do not know what granola is.

O... kay. In any case, I can only eat raw meat.

[ Well. She didn't really want to do this, but more than that, she wants this information. She puts the herring back, digging around one-handedly for an even longer amount of time

and her arm comes out holding someone's hand! That stops right before the shoulder. It's not a hand, it's a severed arm. ]

Would this suffice, in that case?

[ Though from the way her eyes widen and her pupils dilate to slits, her interest is clear. ]

I did not wish to leave evidence of my crime behind, so I chose to store this person's body. I am no longer in possession of the other arm... is that all right, Miss?

So you're a murderer. Is that right?

... yeah. Gimme a second.

[ you know, a second or two to transform into a giant dinogator ]

I am not a murderer! I did what was required of me to assist my good friend. Moreover, I have yet to murder a single human that was not deserving.

[ She doesn't really bat an eyelash at the transformation outside of "ooh, neat," and tosses the arm towards her. Go long!

Is what I'd say if Elaine could throw for shit. It probably lands at Auriga's feet if she doesn't lunge to catch it. ]
