[You wake up on a cold metal bed in a room that is unfamiliar to you.

How long have you been out for? Why does your head hurt? Why can't you remember how you got here?

Before you find the answer to these questions, you might want to check out that hand-written note. There's one in every room.

Dear [NAME],

Thank you for volunteering to participate in the experiment. With your help, this project should be quite successful. My name is Huey Laforet, and I am the one responsible for this experiment. I will be here observing and the point of my project will be revealed by the end.

Your goal today is to find the exit. To do so, you'll need three card keys. However, to activate them, you will need the item listed on the card to move forward. You might not be able to find everything by searching, but certainly, there are other ways to get what you need. I've left them scattered about,

If you fail to escape by the time the experiment is over, you will have to participate in further experiments with me. If you succeed, then you will be able to successfully leave the maze.

I wish you luck. Try to stay alive.

[As soon as you sit up, you find yourself in a room that looks quite like this.

Dirt and broken rocks litter the floor, making it hard to walk on without some sort of shoes. On the west wall, three open holes are big enough for someone to crawl through, but it's also extremely dark. On the east, there's a large window replacing the wall itself. However, to see what's beyond it, you're gonna have to get real close.

On the north side, there's yet another hole broken through but you can see orange light glowing in.

On the south side, there's a door.

There is also that chair in the middle, covered in dust.]

... What?

[?? shooting a questioning look to. . . .who is this person, she has pink hair. oh well.]

[oh!! a cute girl. madoka smiles at her.]

Um. Hello. It looks like we're together!

[. . . tilts her head. . . . offers a nod, before looking pointedly at the note.]

... Apparently we're volunteers for an experiment?

[a thoughtful pause -- before reading the note to nill]

[wow what bullshit though.

frowning, looking around the area and then stepping to the window to check out what's outside. can we just get the hell out of here through the window or what.]

[if you look through the window, you see an expansive sky and down below is a chasm of some sort.

if you've got really good vision, you can see various bodies scattered there. what kind and what the status of those bodies are are a mystery]

That's ... we can't really leave through here.

[i am offended by these bodies. stepping back, and looking over to madoka. . . .but to trust you or not, that is the question]

[WELL. She looks horrified at the bodies.]

... [looking over at nill, thinking again...]

I'm Madoka. I don't think we've met before, but ... it's nice to meet you! Even if it had to be in these circumstances.

giving a nod, and. . . offering her palm out forward, in a sort of way to indicate reciprocation. it's nice to meet you too, in these circumstances.]

[holds out her hand, too, offering nill a small smile.]

We should meet again when we're out of this situation.

The door opened and there's a hallway.

[don't stare at it too long, you might blind yourself. at least, the longer you stare at it, the more disorientated you get.]

[however you can see that that there's a glass door where the light is shining through and there's also a keyhole where you can stick a key in]

[squints. . . . reaching out to feel for the keyhole. it's real right]

[it's warm, and yes! it seems to be real.]
